Burned

"I used to be a roofer, but then I got hurt so I lost my job. Eventually I lost my home and my love. I started drinking since I had to sleep on the street. I got so drunk one day that I burned my leg down to the bone on a heat drain when I was trying to stay warm. I went to the hospital since it was infected; now I'm wheelchair bound. I tried getting out of my chair the other day and I fell and smacked my head on the ground, so I ended up back in the hospital. I think I'm healing up pretty well though. I'm just looking forward that I get to be able to open my eyes each day.
